Influence of electrode processing and electrolyte composition on multiwall carbon nanotube negative electrodes for sodium ion batteries
The HPT-100 Plasma Cleaner is often used for fast and efficient sample preparation of microscopy samples. In this recent work from the University of St. Andrews, multi-wall carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) electrodes are being investigated as a promising alternative energy storage to lithium ion technology. Plasma cleaning of the MWCNTs is performed before analysis in the FEI Titan Thermis 200 STEM. You can find out more about the extensive microscopy facilities at St. Andrews here.
