Plasma cleaning preparation for Glass Transition studies in Poly(2-vinylpyridine) confined films.

Glass transition dynamics at the nanoscale has significant relevance for many technological applications such as bendable electronics, drug delivery and biosensors. The effect of dimensional confinement on the glass transition of Poly(2-vinyl pyridine) was studied in this recent article where part of the preparation of the 1D cavities was achieved using the Henniker HPT-100 plasma cleaner for cleaning prior to spin-coating.
